I create music that is attentive to sound and listening, exploring the tension between structure and the unexpected. As an accordionist, I improvise exclusively. As a composer, I write pieces for ensembles and interdisciplinary performances, conceived in close connection with the places and people involved.
I move between the academic world and the DIY scene, between very different disciplines, contexts and lives. My work tries to capture this movement across disciplines and shape ephemeral, delicate forms, with the unpredictable at the heart of the process.
For me, making art is political. It's a way of trying out other ways of listening, acting and being together. My work asks for attention and looks to poetry as a space of freedom.
